EN / Gites du Cheval Rouge

Located 35 km from Orléans and nestled in the heart of a bend in the Loire River within a remarkable natural site recognized by UNESCO, between the Loire Valley and Sologne, the Gîte du Cheval Rouge invites you to enjoy a pleasant stay. Our three tourist cottages, equipped with all modern comforts, will welcome you and your loved ones in a peaceful, charming, and rural setting.

Brigitte, an experienced horse rider and hiker, envisioned the perfect cottage for the getaways she loves so much. Everything has been designed to offer optimal comfort to hikers:
 

• For horse riders: a meadow on site surrounding the cottage, allowing riders to see their companions in the field in the evening; a secure tack room with saddle racks, bridle hooks, and a water point for washing bits; a shower for the horses; a mounting block for tired riders and to preserve the horse's back; water in the paddocks. Hay and pellets available on request. A large veterinary center is nearby (2 km). An overbooked farrier can be contacted in emergencies.

• For cyclists: a reserved and secure space for storing bikes; electrical outlets for battery chargers; a water hose for washing bikes; an air pump and adjustment tools.

• For hikers: :a washing machine and dryer are avaible. Fun activities are also offered, such as a pétanque court, table tennis, a barbecue, and garden furniture.

Well-behaved dogs are welcome in the various cottages.
